Inspire Media Network and WRAL invite young aspiring filmmakers from the Triangle and surrounding areas to the BIGG Filmmaker Workshop & Challenge.
Workshop How to Make a Great Video
It takes more than a camera and a good idea to make a great video. In this workshop, students will learn tips from some of the best in the business. They’ll share lessons on how to tell a powerful story, covering topics from filming, lighting and sound to interviewing to editing.

Challenge
If you have a passion for using video to tell stories, and if you want a chance to get better, then we invite you to enter the BIGG Filmmakers Challenge. To apply, create a short video that shows your skills and tells us why you should be selected.
Round I
If you are chosen, you’ll receive individual mentoring from professionals as you create a short film for a local nonprofit.
Round II
The final four contestants will receive coaching from Steve Hartman, an
Final Round
The two finalists will receive $250 and an invitation to be the filmmaker for a BIGG project.
Winner
The winner will be recognized on stage and have their film shown on the big screen at the red carpet BIGG Premiere.

This Workshop & Challenge are open to students from middle school through college.
